Motörhead's Lemmy Kilmister -  Musical Director of HBO Comedy Series

Motörhead's Lemmy Kilmister is well known for many outrageous things.  He can now add Musical Director to the list.  Comedy star Jim Norton, who headlined his own HBO special last year, returns to the network as host of DOWN AND DIRTY WITH JIM NORTON, kicking of its four-edition run FRIDAY, OCT. 3 (12:00-12:30 a.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.

Taped at New Jersey's Bergen Performing Arts Center, Lemmy flew to the East Coast in between Motörhead recording sessions to tape the episodes.  The series spotlights new and established talent, including Artie Lange (Howard Stern's show), Bill Burr ("Chappelle's Show"), Patrice O'Neal ("Scary Movie 4") and Andrew Dice Clay.  In addition to headlining the stand-up special, Norton appeared in the blockbuster film "Spider-Man" and has also been featured on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Late Show with David Letterman," "Last Comic Standing" and "Last Call with Carson Daly."  David Steinberg is one of the executive producers of the special.

Says Lemmy, "Comedy and rock and roll...makes sense to me!"

In other Motörhead news, WWE's TRIPLE H welcomed the crowd last Saturday before Motörhead's sold-out concert at the Roseland Ballroom in New York city.  The current WWE Heavyweight champion opened up the show with an introduction of his own. With the lights out, HHH's music hit the speakers as fans went crazy while The Game did his usual pose on the stage. "In the world of heavy metal there are legends, there are icons and then there are gods. Get ready to see the gods of heavy metal, the ones who started it all, get ready for f***in' Motörhead!" The band dedicated two songs to the wrestler. A video of the introduction has already hit YouTube.

Next up for the "gods of heavy metal" is an extensive European tour as they continue to promote their new acclaimed release, Motörizer. The record has landed at the top of the charts throughout the continent.
